Single channel video titled ‘Triggerrr’ traces the journey of the delivery man, the messenger on the road and traveler with a mission. Morphed neutral-color-footages, is following the eye of the delivery man, at the same time, advertisement stock footage and 3d generated model’s hypnotic hand gestures interspersed on the screen. 



Sensory stimulations we experience in both physical and virtual world, especially in personal media, is excessively filled with content which will make up our sense of void; eg. ASMR, Muk-bang, gaming tutorials or reaction videos. As Mcluhan’s perspective of media as extension of the senses, we often equate ourselves into the person in the media or experiences assimilate stimulus even when it’s not really happening. LEE investigates this physiological and psychological needs that occur we share with a flat screen.




Lee Yun Jo (b. 1994, South Korea) is an artist currently based in Singapore and Seoul. Her research revolves around the current age of the Internet today and addresses the rapid evolution of visual culture. In her works, shemanipulates and modifies images created by means of technology and by doing so, she hopes to challenge further how these malleable elements of representation can be transformed and repurposed into alternative forms with new meanings and functions.

She has participated in several projects holding various roles in the past, namely as space designer for Please Don’t Open Up The Window on Rainy Day (Seoul Museum of Art, 2017), exhibited in group exhibition Pang Wool Pang Wool (ILL GOK Gallery, 2018) and most recently, contributed as curatorial assistance for Compatibility begins (Seoul Museum of Art, 2021).
