This work explores the mythological significance of Rendlesham Forest in Suffolk, England, through a multimedia installation. Featuring footage of the site, it includes recorded elements such as light from a now-demolished lighthouse and audio recordings from the encounter.
Drawing on the mandala archetype—symbolising wholeness and the self—and its connections to 20th-century UFO mythology, the piece delves into archetypal themes of water as a life source and its dualistic, destructive role in mythology. It reflects how mythology often emerges from collective anxieties, as well as the synchronicity and lineage of events and myths that shape contemporary mythologies.
