Rusydan graduated from the Diploma in Fine Arts Class of 2016. His recent works examines the origin of his matrilineal family which traces back to Bawean Island, East Java as part of his enquiry to learn more about his roots, while briefly he has engaged with oral histories and personal narratives of experiences within communal dwelling spaces that has since been demolished. Manifestations of his works are decided through the idea and concept at hand, and has presented them through installation, sculpture and found objects.
He recently also received the Excellent Baweanese Award by Baweanese Association of Singapore. Currently he is serving his mandatory National Service.
